Iconic LED screens
pilot Screentime is a specialist system integrator of LED screens in Germany. We offer a full-service solution for customers who have building permission for, or are considering, an LED screen, including the planning and installation of DooH (Digital Out of Home) and indoor screens for or without an advertising sales revenue strategy.
Once permission has been granted, pilot Screentime supports its customers in planning the LED solution, aiming to install the most cost-effective hardware and software depending on possible local authority building restrictions in compliance with local light emission (Lichtemissionen) and moving picture (Wechselbildverordnung) regulations.
Our service includes selecting the right hardware with the most effective LED pixel pitch, planning the structural supporting frame, development a wiring and electrical concept, implementing a content management system, creating content, designing cost-effective media control technology, providing 24/7 support and managing the yearly maintenance of the entire operation.

Spielbudenplatz Stage at ‘Reeperbahn’, Hamburg
The 138 m² LED installation, which features an integrated ‘hidden’ door, was installed on Hamburg’s Reeperbahn in 2022. This LED solution enables switching between advertising, show, and event modes. Thanks to specially developed media technology, light emissions can be precisely controlled, enabling year-round use and maximum usage flexibility.

QUARREE Wandsbek (Shopping mall), Hamburg
Measuring 177 m² and 27 m² respectively, the LED tower and cube on the exterior of the QUARREE Wandsbek shopping centre in Hamburg are among the most spectacular DooH installations in Germany. These three-dimensional LED installations are enormous in size and feature an exceptionally high pixel pitch of 5 mm. This is a unique combination of digital out-of-home advertising and façade architecture making it truly iconic.

Lanxess Arena, Cologne
pilot Screentime installed the 100 m² high-end, 8 mm pixel pitch LED screen solution for the LANXESS Arena in Cologne in August 2025. Located in front of the arena and in close proximity to the Cologne Exhibition Centre, which attracts approximately 2.5 million visitors and exhibitors each year, the transport hub is one of the busiest public transport areas in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The new digital out-of-home screen registers around 240,000 views every day, and thanks to state-of-the-art technology, it is clearly visible from up to 300 meters away.

KLUBHAUS St. Pauli, Hamburg
In October 2025, pilot Screentime replaced the ‘lift screen’ on the right-hand side of the iconic Klubhaus media façade. Located right in the heart of Hamburg’s Reeperbahn, the KLUBHAUS St. Pauli has become a new attraction in this vibrant entertainment district. The media façade combines different technologies in three main areas: a 177 m² high-resolution top screen, 265 m² of RGB panels, and a 60 m² high-resolution LED screen covering the lift surface. These three areas can be combined to provide advertising and non-advertising clients with spectacular visual communication.

PoolOne „Coca Cola Screen“, Hamburg
In September 2025, the iconic 103 m² rooftop screen on the Reeperbahn was replaced. The updated screen has a 10 mm pixel pitch and is more energy-efficient, using only a third of the power of the previous model. To protect nearby residents from light disturbance, custom shaders that limit brightness at side angles were installed. Coca-Cola has had exclusive use of the screen for over 20 years, making it one of the most iconic LED screens in Germany.

PoolOne, “Reeperbahn 150”, Hamburg
PoolOne is one of Germany’s most successful outdoor advertising agencies, known for its large-format posters. These front lit posters are gradually being replaced with LED screens, a process which has begun in various locations around Germany. This example is from Reeperbahn 150. While the 22 m² digital out-of-home (DooH) board may not be the largest LED screen, it is certainly one of the most memorable advertising hoardings in Hamburg.

PSD Bank LED, Stuttgart
To project documentation
In 2020, the PSD Bank in Stuttgart updated its outdoor advertising with a 60m² LED screen. Located in the Cannstatt district, the screen is near the City Arena, making it one of the most sought-after outdoor advertising locations. Content management and 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support are handled by the Pilot Screentime service & support team.

Orlen Star „Star Gate”, various locations
To project documentation
The LED solution that we developed for the Orlen Star petrol station chain was far from standard. The result was the ‘Star Gate’. This custom-built solution presents advertising and customer information where motorists have the most time on their hands: while waiting for their vehicle to be filled up with petrol. Specially created content ensures the LED screen uses its unique format to its fullest effect.
